The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn recently hosted members of the Sunward Park High School Interact Club for an inspiring evening of shared learning, service dialogue, and community commitment.

The engagement brought together Interact learners, Rotarians from Benoni Van Ryn, and the Rotary Benoni Van Ryn Anns’s in a roundtable-style exchange. The learners presented their ongoing projects and fundraisers, including a clothing drive and sanitary towel delivery to Kids Haven, as well as impactful awareness campaigns on gender-based violence, cyberbullying, environmental sustainability, mental health, and diversity.

The session provided an opportunity for both Interactors and Rotarians to reflect on their service journeys and explore fresh ideas for community engagement. The evening culminated in a powerful poetry performance by several Interact learners, highlighting the emotional toll and societal urgency of addressing gender-based violence.

Through meaningful conversations and creative expression, this evening reaffirmed Rotary’s role in supporting and encouraging the next generation of leaders - leaders who are already taking action to create a more compassionate and inclusive society.
