The Rotary Club of Benoni Van Ryn recently donated books to the All Eyes On Foundation as part of a larger, long-term partnership aimed at uplifting local children through improved access to education.

What started as a conversation about community needs has evolved into a hands-on service project with a real, lasting impact. The club has been instrumental in establishing the Foundation’s new community library—an inclusive and empowering space designed to serve over 100 children supported by the Foundation daily, as well as others in the broader community.

Club members personally sourced and installed laminate flooring, painted the space, built and mounted shelving, and provided one-on-one training to the Foundation’s founder on managing a functional book-lending system. Every detail was considered to ensure that the space is both practical and welcoming.

While the donation was made during a public event promoting sign language awareness and inclusion, the true value of the project lies in its wider reach. This library is becoming a hub of opportunity—not just for Deaf learners, but for all children and families of Wattville who previously had limited access to books and literacy resources.

The Rotary Club’s involvement demonstrates the power of "service above self," building not just shelves, but stepping stones for the next generation.
